Book Arvigo Therapy

Mayan Abdominal Therapy, also known as the Arvigo® Technique, supports women in reconnecting with our bodies and nurturing our womb space. This gentle massage works to realign the uterus, enrich circulation to the pelvic and abdominal organs, and encourage our bodies natural healing process.

Traditionally used to support fertility, menstrual health, digestion, and overall well-being, Mayan Abdominal Therapy is a holistic approach to renewing balance and function to the body.

Each session is a nourishing experience, built around your needs and intentions. Whether you are seeking relief from painful cycles, looking for ways to support fertility and postpartum healing, or a deeper connection to your womb, this practice restores vitality and circulation in the pelvic region, allowing you to soften, listen, and receive healing.

For those on a fertility journey or seeking deeper womb healing, multiple sessions offer the most lasting support. The body opens in layers, and consistent care allows for deeper alignment and integration over time. If you’re ready to commit to your healing, the Womb Care Package is designed for you. This 5-session journey provides ongoing support to help your body remember its natural rhythm, and gives your womb the time, presence, and care it may need.

Mayan Abdominal Q&A

  • Yes, it helps improve blood flow, lymph, and nerve communication to the reproductive organs, supporting hormonal balance and a healthy uterine environment. Additionally, uterine misalignment is extremely common, many women experience some degree of uterine tilt or displacement at some point in their lives due to stress, hip tightness, poor posture, injury, childbirth, or other factors. Many women use this work to prepare for conception naturally, or alongside fertility treatments, to increase their chances of success.

  • If you are experiencing extremely painful periods, sessions scheduled after menstruation and before ovulation (roughly days 6–14 of your cycle) may be best for you. Otherwise, any part of your cycle is a fine time to receive the work.

  • It’s best to use castor oil packs after your period and before ovulation (the follicular phase), when the body is naturally clearing and rebuilding. Avoid using them during active bleeding or if there’s a chance of pregnancy, as castor oil is detoxifying and stimulates circulation in the pelvis.

If your intention is to support relaxation, reduce inflammation, ease PMS, or reduce endometriosis symptoms, castor oil packs can be used in the luteal phase, after ovulation but before your next period, as long as conception isn’t possible.

  • Yes, it’s very supportive. The gentle, non-invasive techniques help bring circulation and reduce congestion. Each session is customized based on your symptoms and comfort. We also go over soothing therapies you can try on your own in-between sessions to support your ongoing healing.

  • I’ll teach you a short, daily abdominal massage you can do at home. You can also use castor oil packs, yoni steaming, and moxa as supportive tools, all of which enhance circulation, calm the nervous system, and deepen your connection to your body.

  • Each session begins with a detailed, individualized consultation, followed by gentle abdominal and back massage that focuses on circulation, alignment, and lymphatic flow. You’ll remain draped for comfort and privacy.

We will talk about hip alignment and potentially release your psoas (pronounced so-as) and iliacus, your main hip flexors, to help realign your pelvic floor and create better balance, and circulation throughout your lower abdomen and reproductive organs.

I will teach you the abdominal self-massage techniques so you can feel empowered to practice at home, in between sessions. We also discuss self-care practices, such as castor oil packs, vaginal steaming and lifestyle support.

  • Every body is unique, but many clients start with three sessions spaced 2–4 weeks apart. From there, we assess progress and develop a maintenance rhythm that fits your goals.

  • No. The pressure is gentle yet deeply effective. You might feel tenderness in areas where there’s stagnation, but most clients describe the experience as relaxing and grounding.

  • Yes. The massage improves motility of the digestive organs and supports lymph flow, helping the body eliminate waste and toxins more effectively. Many clients notice easier bowel movements, reduced bloating, and less abdominal discomfort after just a few sessions.

  • You’ll likely feel some relief after one session, but consistent work (a few sessions over several weeks) helps retrain the body’s natural rhythm. I’ll also guide you for at-home self-care to support ongoing progress.

  • After a vaginal birth, gentle external abdominal work can begin around 3-6 weeks postpartum, once your body feels ready.

After a C-section, we typically wait 10–12 weeks to allow the incision and tissues to fully heal before receiving deeper abdominal work. Lymphatic drainage and gentle energy balancing can be done sooner with your provider’s approval.

  • Yes. Once healed, this therapy can help soften adhesions, restore circulation, and reconnect sensation to the area, supporting both physical and emotional healing.

  • Yes, by supporting the body’s natural detox and endocrine pathways, it can help balance hormones, improve digestion and elimination, and reduce stress that may affect milk supply.

  • Rest, hydrate well, and avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol or inflammatory foods for 24 hours. You may feel lighter, emotional, or need extra rest, this is your body integrating the work.

What Women Are Saying About Womb Sessions

“Kitty has the most intuitive, grounded, loving touch. Her Mayan abdominal massage left me feeling incredibly relaxed, like my whole system exhaled. It gave me a sense of nurturing, intentional touch I didn’t even realize I needed. I felt lighter, clearer, and more connected to my center. I trust her deeply and am so grateful for her work.”
